********* DEALINGS
We purchased a Toyota quantum in 2017 and 3 months after purchase the vehicle broke down and out of service for 3 months. This meant that the vehicle could not bring in any income during this time and this was communicated with SA Taxi and we were told the warranty department would handle that situation. March 2020 lockdown happened and we struggled but still tried by all means to pay as much as we could afford. We were not offered any grace period for the time of the lockdown. Tuesday the 8th of June the vehicle was repossessed and we were told that we are 5 months behind with our installments when we asked how we were told about that 3 months down time which was to be handled by the warranty department. We were not even given any notice of intention to repossess no court order nothing. Now we have been requesting them to give us a settlement amount since Wednesday so we can see what we can do try some means to reclaim ownership but they keep saying they will email these details till today. This to me is a delay tactic on their side so they can put the vehicle on auction. We were only left with less then a year to finish paying for the vehicle. Please assist.
