I cant believe the unfairness of this entity - using every tactic to not give me what is due. Had an accident in March 2017 - Taxi driver skipped a stopped street and collided into my car. The driver had to swerve to avoid major damages or fatal injuries to my passengers. The Taxi driver admitted guilt and JMPD were on scene to register the case. He gave all the details of the his insurer - which took 9 months for final verdict. The final verdict was even worse than their customer service - They only offering to pay R9398.00 of a R69k damage.

THEIR RESPONSE " Kindly be advised that we have finalised our investigations into the merits of your claim and decided to make you a settlement offer based on a 60/40 apportionment.

Our law recognizes that a driver may have right of way however that right is not absolute. The degree of negligence is attributable to both parties which renders the merits in this instance apportionable and it is our opinion that 60/40 is a fair and reasonable apportionment given the circumstances."

If the driver didn't avoid the accident - it could have been even worse or even fatal. Wheres the fairness in this verdict.
