No delivery, no refund
I bought two bathroom cabinets and a toilet from SA Home Builder Store (https://sahomebuilderstore.com/). Although they are not a full online store, you can browse their products on their website, which is fine. Invoiced, proof of payment sent. John, the sales manager, was very helpful on WhatsApp. Total of about R8,300, including delivery. So far so good.
Delivery scheduled for Friday, 23 January, but no communication until Tuesday, 27 January, when they said "Sorry the delivery didn't pick up yesterday, the logistics said they are having little strike with their employees", and that we would get our stuff by the end of the week.
Late afternoon on Friday 30 January, and nothing happening. They promise to look for other transport and refund me if not delivered by Tuesday. Back and forth. Lots of promises but no action. I think they were hoping to still deliver and avoid having to refund.
Friday 6 February still nothing. They’re "sure" they can deliver by Monday or Tuesday. I ask for a refund but only get a reply when I say I'll put a bad review on HelloPeter. They say they only do refunds from Wednesday on. More delay tactics, and often no answer to my phone calls or WhatsApps. Now they have till 6pm on Thursday 12 February to send me proof of payment for the refund, so if you’re reading this then I’ve lost R8,300.
What's more the address on their invoice is identical to the address of a reputable, established, and reliable hardware branch in Parklands, Cape Town. Asking SA Home Builders on WhatsApp about that, they say they share the building with the hardware store. However, phoning the manager of the hardware company there, he knows nothing about that.
Please refund me, else I will be forced to open a case of ***** against SA Home Builder Store with the South African Police.

My bank has confirmed that the account this business uses is used for F^R*A@U%D. I have opened a case with the police, but the bank has not been able to reverse the transactions.
