RTT Logistics Polokwane branch – Unacceptable Delivery Delays and Extremely Poor Service
I am absolutely furious and deeply disappointed with the level of service I have received from RTT Logistics. I am still waiting for my parcel, and the only explanation I keep receiving from your Polokwane branch is that all delivery vehicles have been dispatched and, therefore, they cannot deliver my parcel. Frankly, this is completely unacceptable and reflects a shocking lack of urgency, accountability, and customer service.
Let me give you a brief background to this entire frustrating situation. I ordered a router online from MTN, which was scheduled for delivery on Tuesday, 13 October 2026. The delivery failed due to biometric verification issues. Since then, I have been following up persistently, both on Wednesday and Thursday, only to be told that the courier company was waiting for MTN to authorise manual authentication. On Thursday, 15 October, I contacted MTN, and the manual verification process was escalated. I followed up again on Friday, 16 October, and the verification was finally approved.
Having done everything required from my side and having personally followed up to ensure that the verification issue was resolved, I expected my parcel to be delivered without any further unnecessary delays. Instead, when I contacted your Polokwane branch to enquire about the delivery arrangements, I was told that all vehicles were already out on delivery and that I would have to wait until Monday, 19 October. Are you seriously telling me that I must now spend the entire weekend without internet at home simply because all your vehicles have been dispatched? How is that my problem as a paying customer? I have already endured unnecessary delays, made multiple follow-up calls, and waited for a verification process that was eventually approved. Now, despite everything being resolved, I am expected to accept yet another delay because your branch claims that there are no vehicles available to deliver my parcel.
What makes this even more frustrating is that I reside in Central Polokwane. It is not as though I am situated in some remote area that would require an extensive journey. Surely, if even one vehicle returns to the branch, arrangements can be made to load my parcel and deliver it. Instead of demonstrating any initiative or willingness to assist, I am simply being told to wait until Monday, as though the inconvenience this causes me is completely irrelevant.
I find this attitude utterly disgraceful. A courier service exists to deliver parcels, not to repeatedly shift the consequences of its operational challenges onto customers. I should not have to spend days chasing a delivery, contacting MTN to resolve verification issues, and then practically beg your branch to deliver a parcel that should already have been in my possession.
I want to be very clear: I am not satisfied with being given another date without any genuine effort to resolve this matter today. I expect your team to demonstrate some accountability, exercise sound judgement, and find a practical solution rather than hiding behind the excuse that all vehicles have been dispatched.
I therefore expect this matter to be escalated urgently and for someone with the authority to make a decision to intervene. Please advise what concrete steps will be taken to ensure that my parcel is delivered today, rather than simply repeating the same explanation I have already received.
This experience has been extremely frustrating, and the lack of urgency and customer consideration displayed thus far is unacceptable. I expect a proper response and a resolution, not another excuse.
