RTMC DLTC WATERFALL - Drivers License Renewal

Dealing with a government entity is always a very painful experience, as past interactions have gone. I was dreading have to renew my drivers license as the last time in Durban took 6hours and 15mins and I had my eye test already done and the completed form with me. Fast forward, so book a 10h22 appointment at RTMC DLTC Waterfall, on a Sunday, hoping it would be quite. I did miss the office park, but my fault, although some roadside signage will help. Got to the office, and signed in the register outside, 09h25. Was directed by the security guard on duty. Went inside, lady at front desk was pleasant and helpful, no attitude like previously experienced that she was doing me a favour. I took the form on the clipboard and filled in he necessary. Returned the clipboard and sat down to wait my turn. After a few minutes, I was directed to the next available desk and the traffic officer (in full uniform) assisted me. A few finger prints, digital photo and electronic signing, paid the fee via card, given the receipt and was on my way. I topped at the front desk lady to express my gratitude for the swift process and my time out, 09h45, so 20min in total. Couple of small issues, but it seems that they are revamping the office, so things should be a little easier on the eye soon. Overall, very impressed, now just to wait for the card which they said should be 6 to 8 weeks.
