Bullying and mocking

A horrible experience of bullying and mocking. A confusion arose over what forms I was supposed to complete (or not) because of a difference in my surname between my ID and my driver's license. The official would literally ask me a question and then immediately tell me not to speak because "I could not give the answer in the way he wanted it". At no point was I rude, I did not raise my voice and only once had an opportunity to give an explanation- whereafter he eventually understood the circumstances and started to process my application. At the beginning of the process I had been referred to an SAPS official (a lady) to verify my identity. In my once-off opportunity to explain anything to the official, I referred to the "SAPS lady". This then became the source of loud mockery among the officials. I can only assume it was because of my accent. I feel very disappointed and wish the experience had been better, as it so easily could have been.
