Very impressed to very disappointed
After searching for Internet providers and doing some research, I finally settled on RSAWeb and wanted to take advantage of a fantastic Black Friday special. I was incredibly impressed with their reaction when I sent in the application - I felt positive that I'd have Internet soon, which was great news for me as I have barely any mobile signal at home.
JP sent me a WhatsApp and phoned me and I felt assured that things would move along smoothly. The previous tenant had fibre, so I assumed it would be a quick process. I was asked for proof of address, and I sent what I had, and asked if it was adequate or what other options would be suitable. No response. Eventually, I managed to get another form of proof of residence with significant hassle, and sent that through. Again, silence. I got a call from someone else a few days later to clarify my address and then there were a couple of days of silence. I got an email asking more questions about my address, which I responded to, and this time I was met with deafening silence. No acknowledgement of receipt. Nothing. Eventually I reached out and was told that they were still trying to get info from Metrofibre.
I work in government, I'm used to things moving slowly. But I don't believe that clarifying things with Metrofibre should take weeks. It feels like they were eager to get a new customer, but then shoved the form at the bottom of a pile and never looked at it again. I have gotten zero feedback, and no assurance that they're actually working towards providing me a service. And at this rate, who knows whether they'll honour the special that I app**** for. Not having Internet is highly frustrating and limiting, and their lack of engagement and feedback, as well as their apparent disinterest in providing a service has made me sincerely regret my choice.
