Shady billing practices - Fibre Internet
The billing from RSAWEB is borderline shady. This morning I received notice that my fibre packages would increase. Typically I understand that the current economic climate has put a strain on all businesses - this is also not my issue. The issue I have is twofold. Firstly directly after receiving the emails, the portal glitched whenever I tried to downgrade my packages, then the tool disappeared completely. Just like you are under a financial strain, I am too. This is Shady
Secondly the web page that directs to the new pricing chart, shows amounts lower than what I am currently paying. When I queried this with Cole, he said the following:
"your price & package is going up. You have a 50/50 that was initially temporarily upgraded to 100/100 however from 1 April, that change will be permanent & the price would be R975.
The other 2 services are just speed increases, the price remains the same. The price your 50/50 was at the time you signed up & what is in your contract is what you pay."
I never asked for the speeds to be increased. Surely I have a right as the customer to request that the pricing either be reduced to the stipulated amounts on your website - to my knowledge this is a month-to-month and not a 12-month contract; or to downgrade the packages. In fact, when I asked that it be reduced to the new pricing structure, I got ignored for almost an hour.
Do you not value me as a customer?
