RSAWeb increasing packages and prices without any choice
I suddenly get an email to say that Octotel your service provider has changed their packages and I will now be paying R100 per month more. What? So I ask how is this my problem that they changing their packages and why should I “pay” for this. Sure, change your infrastructure but surely this is not your clients fault or should not be to our detriment. So I ask how is this even allowed, they send me my terms and conditions and say I accepted it. It says they can change the pricing/services at any time. Sure, I can expect a price increase but I am sure somewhere us as clients are covered under the consumer law that they can not just increase it as they see fit. Then why not just double they price? I’ve logged numerous tickets with them asking for the contact details for their Ombudsman and they are just not coming to light. They just say, it’s Octotel. They can’t do anything. Then when I ask for who ever I need to talk to to sort this whole thing out? Nothing. I need someone to make contact with me via this (who ever is responsible for the price increase/package changes) with the contact details and procedure for the Ombudsman. Surely with anything, if you change your packages you can not hold the client accountable for your changes. Why not just discontinue all package and just provide 50/50 and change the charges to R1000 seeing that you can do as you please
