Fantastic Fizzled after a few years.
While RSAWEB connectivity is still great, I can no longer with a good conscience eagerly recommend this ISP. The Always-snappy, always-human contact experience has descended into the now common SA standard of virtual shoulder-shrugging apathy from clearly bored staff. Can you imagine a request for relocation of service being met with a thinly-veiled threat "...Please note that if the above is not done and no new order is placed will your account be subject to a processing fee of R999.00.." ? This morning alone I called about 6 times and each time the call "dropped". Then I got an email advising someone would get back to me shortly, but wishing me a Good Weekend? In other words, RSAWEB's "shortly" is obviously no longer "today". The consultant, when reached/cornered was more intent on warning that there is a 1-month cancellation period, than focusing on making her client's relocation happen swiftly and hassle-free. Honestly, it is like their salary was cut.!
This is such a pity. Your technical helpdesk agents are brilliant and through the years were always knowledgeable and helpful.
The surly people you entrust with your customer retention function prove that a company regards its existing customers as a captive audience that it can mess around.
The warnings that if a customer does not retain RSAWEB as their ISP at their new address or coerce the new occupant at their old address to take over the service, that a R999 “punishment fee” will be charged smacks of unprofessional vindictiveness .
