Avoid RSAWEB promotions

I signed up with RSAWEB on a black Friday promotion in November 2022 with fibre activation on 3 January 2023. On 1 July 2023, I received a letter from RSAWEB stating their understanding of the financial pressures SA households face, also that they have not increased fees over the past 3 years, hence they need to do an increase now on my Vuma fibre fee. OK, no problem I understand your point. So my price got increased with 93,8 %..... Really!! What “careful consideration” was given to this decision? GREED I did a RSAWEB online chat and was told sorry promotion cancelled and attached termination link. I decided then to rather speak to someone in person and called 1 July the help desk line. A ticket was booked (***) and only was honoured with a response on 11 July when I called RSAWEB. Again said, calling on their contract clause terms and condition of changing fees or to terminating any promotions and process with reasonable time. Reasonable time…..increase notice given on 1 July, new rate effective 1 August, and cancellation policy stated 1 month notice, so I am forced to pay the new 93% increased fee before I can move on…clever, clever!! RSWAWEB and Vuma are greedy, ********* and arrogant. If you increased my fee with 10%, I would have been fine. Do not tell me millions of customers subscribed to your black Friday special and you making losses and need to increase the fee with 93,8% or terminate the black Friday customers. This shows GREED. What was the use of the Black Friday special – to lure clients and ***** then after 6 months? No loyally or trust from my side toward RSAWEB or Vuma. Sadly I am forced to use Vuma as there are no other alternatives in my area. Avoid any promotions from RSAWEB. RSAWEB you will lose customers and not serving anyone for years to come. Word of mouth is powerful, especially regarding company trust and ethics. Disappointed with your greed and manner this was handled. NOT the number one ISP by far.
