Unprofessional and Disrespectful Conduct by SRC Members
I am writing to formally express my disappointment regarding the unprofessional and disrespectful conduct displayed by members of the Student Representative Council (SRC) at IIE Rosebank College Pretoria.
Recently, my peers and I were using an office space on campus when SRC members approached us in a very rude and dismissive manner, stating that it was “their office” and instructing us to leave immediately. While we understand that certain spaces may be designated for specific use, the manner in which we were addressed was completely inappropriate and uncalled for.
As elected representatives, SRC members are voted into their positions by students to serve, represent, and support us, not to intimidate or belittle us. Their approach lacked professionalism, respect, and basic courtesy. Students deserve to be treated with dignity at all times.
I hope management addresses this matter seriously and reminds SRC members of their responsibility to lead with integrity, respect, and professionalism.
