********* Policy

Hi

I'm a third year student (Student number ********** 8) studying a Bachelors in Business Administration. My last module (Business Management 3B) to graduate is capped at 50%. On the policy given to us students it is stated that we need a final mark of 50% to pass a module. A final mark is made up of your Cass mark plus your exam. The problem I have is that my final mark is standing at 50% and next to mark it says "FES" meaning failed exam subminimum. To the knowledge of the students, and according to every document received, it is not stated anywhere that if we fail our exam subminum, we fail the module completely and I've asked the College to prove to me that they gave us this policy or even informed us at any stage, and they failed to do so. To the knowledge of students including myself based on the policy given to us, all we need is a Final mark of 50% and the College administrators decided to be funny and rude with me and brought me a large policy file telling me to go through the file, which I find it very unfair for them to make aware of something I should've been aware of for the past 3 years of studying at this college, if it's there in the first place. I have every bit of evidence from them for proof to win this misunderstanding but they fail to be fair.

All I'm asking for them is to change the FES to 'P' and that I pass my course.

I have done so on Friday. Today at my campus it was said that the issue was closed and there has been no contact with me regarding this issue. It's very unprofessional for you guys to say the issue was closed and no contact is being made with me. I find that as cheating and is very ********* of an institution which you guys hold as high stature.

You guys sent me an email regarding the policy. Let's get the facts in order here: 1) The matter regarding the assessment policy is not available to us on my student portal or sent to me via my announcements as the administrator on my campus insisted it's there after being rude. I requested for her to help show me where on my portal but she refused because it isn't there. 2) We can get the whole of my BBA 3 class together and ask them if your stuff members made it clear during orientation week. Which they didn't. The president of the student council is unaware of such as well 3)There is no document which was physically given to me as student regarding this policy which you quick to make me aware of after my exams are done. 4) All the policy in which you bringing to my attention right now, should've been given to us students when signing the contract at campus. 5) On my student portal under symbols and notes, nowhere is it stated that FES means you failed your module entirely. To bring such information to my attention after my exams are done, to me would be considered as breach of contract as this is public information which you advertise to us students.

The principal hasn't been very helpful in showing me what I've missed as a student that I'm fighting for. I'm being held back to graduate because I'm being told a bunch of stuff in which in was not made aware of as a student of 3 years. My Final mark is 50% and as stipulated by the student portal, I deserve a Pass as a symbol. Thats all I'm asking for

Please may you liaise directly with the campus Principal, email correspondence shows what has been discussed with you and the way forward for you has been outlined.

You have been afforded the opportunity to write a special exam in order for you to graduate.

As per your correspondence with the campus, all students are notified in their contract of enrolment that they sign, where and how to access the student code of conduct and all policies pertaining to their academic career at the campus.

I find it very alarming that after view my script? The administrator warms me before hand that my script was marked and moderated by the same person. That is breaking policy as well. So please can you guys get a hold of wrongful activities going on around the campus and stop blaming students for administrators not being honest. Thank you. I app**** for a remark after viewing my paper and I feel i was unfairly marked because the process in which the marking took place was unfair because the moderator and marker supposed to be different. Thank you again
