My wife is studying BBA at this institution. Academically they are excellent, up to date with the most recent developments in subjects, very competent lecturers that present lectures very well prepared. I believe that the courses are World Class.

Unfortunately the administration of this institution makes all of the above meaningless. I am at my wits end. At the beginning of the year the registration process took such a long time that she lost two weeks of academic work, this after payment was made and all required documents submitted weeks before the required date. The current semester commenced 25 July, today is 17 August to this day marks of the first semester are not captured, neither correctly, nor within a reasonable time. Logged queries with the required proof are not addressed and the misery seems to continue perpetually. Emails and phone calls are not attended to.

My wife is at a point where she told me she doesn't want to complete her studies despite achieving 75%+ for all her subjects.

I find the very apparent incompetence of their administration appalling and the inability or lack of will to implement corrective and mitigating measures by the management infuriating.

For me all internal avenues to address this have now been exhausted. The next step for me is, unfortunately, to bring this to the attention of the Parliamentary Portfolio Committee of Higher Education.

I want to reiterate that this is unfortunate actions, because I know that this would probably lead to an investigation by the Department, which can be uncomfortable and possible reputational damage for the institution as a whole. As I said before the academic programmes and staff are of the highest quality, this could have a negative impact on them as well.
