Reprint of Certificate denied by IIE

Yester I was at the college to update my information as I have done a gender marker. So my personal details have changed both names and ID numbers. Today I am receiving an email from the IIE telling me they can only reprint a certificate if the student lost it or a misspellings.

I now need to know because I do not owe the institution and even paid for that reprint. How do I apply for work vacancies going forward? Does this mean I do not have a qualification?

I need to be assisted because the only changes are those that I mentioned. I cannot be traveling from Klerksdorp to Braamfontein only to be told the institution cannot change names. I mean even the certificate I received it via email because I did not attend my graduations so they just do not want to update my details.
