Final-Year Student Treated Unfairly – No Access, No Help No formal accountability

I’m a final-year student at Rosebank College Braamfontein, and my experience this year has been deeply frustrating and emotionally draining. Since the beginning of the academic year, I’ve had no proper access to my student portal or ARC system — meaning I couldn’t submit assignments, write tests, or access study material. Despite settling all outstanding fees, my access was still blocked.

Shockingly, at one point, the school told both me and my parent that I don’t exist in the system at all — completely erasing my record. I was removed from their database, and it caused serious panic and confusion. When I finally had partial access, I contacted my lecturers through Ms. Lerato Phokompe and asked for submission links to be reopened. Only one lecturer responded. The rest ignored my request, which further disadvantaged me academically.

I was told multiple times to travel to campus to fix the issue. I live far from the school and followed instructions faithfully — only to be told “come back Friday” for weeks, with no real support. I wasted money, time, and energy trying to get help. I even wrote an exam on campus, but to this day, I have no idea if I passed or failed, because nothing appears on my student portal.

Even the few modules I managed to submit via ARC were marked, but they still don’t reflect on the portal, so I can’t even track my progress properly. I’ve lost attendance records, fallen behind due to their negligence, and I’m now at risk of academic delay in my final year — because of something that was never my fault.

There has been no apology, no academic plan, no compensation, and no accountability. This institution has failed me terribly.
