Road trip - no trip
I would never ever make the mistake to book a trip with Road Trip and only used them because they are affiliated with Discovery Insurance. You probably have not heard of them before, due to they service of lack there off. On Wednesday 28.11.2018 i tried to register myself with them, due to the fact that we would need their services for a night out on Friday 30.11.2018, 2 days in advance. First of all i talked to a guy called Iffy, who sounded so asleep and did not really wanted to help me and referred me to his managers, just to register myself on their website. That was at 07:55 the morning of the 28th. That afternoon at 13:30 i have not heard anything back from them, any of them, and had to phone again. Its not like they are so busy as I doubt they have a big client data base with the service received, just to register. A nice lady answered the phone and actually helped me. I then booked our pick up for the 30th at 23:00. On the website it says that you can pre book and you get preference. So i had no doubt in my mind that the pick up will not be there at 23:00 or 23:30 and we had to drive home. I phoned the next morning at 11:41 and spoke to the same not so awake Iffy. I explained to him what happened and guess what his response was, i have to send an email. I informed him that i have not received feedback on my previous email, so why would they get back to me on a complaint. He did not even give his sympathy to the situation. I left my details with him and asked a manager to phone me back, he confirmed that they will phone me back that same day but later as they are not in yet. Surprise surprise, nobody has phoned me back. I phoned again Monday 03.12.2018, 2 days later and yes, Iffy picked up the phone.
He confirmed that he will send an email to them as he has not done it yet, since we spoke on Saturday.
This is such a risky thing, as the alcohol limit is so small and you are at risk by having one drink and you trust that the company that you asked to pick you up, will do so.
Please dont use them in the future!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
