RTMC Service Disaster
I would like to lodge a complaint about my recent experience with RTMC.
I renewed my Fortuner's licence in October and an NVLS document was delivered. When following up in this, I was told that they could not deliver the licence disc, due to another vehicle that was unlicensed. On the 10th of December I renewed my other 3 vehicles, and on the 12th of December received a sms to say that the disc/s will be delivered the same day.
On Tuesday, 17 December I called RTMC to find out where the disc's are, and was advised that nowhere on the system it shows that the disc's are out for delivery, this after holding on for 45mins and then another 25mins when speaking to the representative. She took my details and said she will call me back in 45mins to discuss, this never happened.
On Wednesday 18 December, I called again, holding for 47mins and when I eventually got through, I explained the situation to the lady, and she ended the call.
On Thursday 19 December, I again called, held the line for 35mins, and spoke to a lady by the name of Samantha. Told her my predicament and she advised me that the Fortuner disc could not be delivered because the courier was used for the NVLS document. I apparently agreed to that when I used the Natis portal. Fortunately I did not agree or consent to anything on the portal. I was told that I could collect in Centurion but the other 3 disc's were with the courier but she cannot say when they will deliver.
So after spending 1 hour and 30 mins on the phone, I now have to collect the discs and I lost the fee paid to have them delivered.
The experience with RTMC is shocking to say the least.
Following my 1st email
My discussion on the 19th with Samantha has reference
I was told I could visit the RTMC office in Centurion on the Friday, between 08:30 and 16:30 to have the licence discs re-printed. I arrived on the Friday, just after 13:00 to have this done, only to be told that the offices closed at 12:00.
One lady mentioned that they were only opening on Monday(23 December) where another told me they are closed for December
So my question is: Why would RTMC offices close when they have so many licence discs outstanding of people who already paid for them, but have received them? How can a business like this function in this way? Everyone throws their hands in the air and NO ONE does anything about it. How can the CEO of RTMC allow this!!!!!!
I eventually had to have my licence disc renewed again, paid an additional fee, so paying twice for the same disc. How is this providing a service to the public?
