On road protect -stay away

I took out a policy on both my vehicles in June 2020. The sales lady was, as they always are , selling a service that sounds amazing, A few weeks into the contract, i needed to renew my licence, only to find i had fines. On road protect, said they have located the fines, but could not offer a discount due to the age of the fines....this is not mentioned in the sales talk promising to get a discount on fines .After paying in full for the fines, i went to the post office myself to collect my car licence disk that i had paid for and was waiting on fines to clear.

2 weeks later, i was driving and hit a large pothole in Boksburg, pucturing my tire and damaging my rim, I called on road protect to open a claim , only to find out , there is not pothole repair or damage claim, on road protect has to claim from the roads agency and then try negotiate a claim for the damage and this can take 3 months and longer,

I released the service i was sold hand many loop holes, and decided to cancel both in July. I received confirmation of the cancellation telephonically and on email from Dineo, mid July ,confirming the policy was cancelled, Only to find that the policy debit order kept coming of my account. So i sent a email, had no response for weeks, then sent another , got a message from Shane saying my policy was not cancelled, would i like to cancel. What a joke. I have reported this to the consumer protection act. And expect a immediate cancellation of debit order and refund for past 3 months, by COB today. Or i will take this matter even further to FNB , via westbank and Onbutsman .
