RMI only looks after it's members not the consumer
I tried to use the RMI dispute resolution service, The lady who assisted me was friendly and professional however the business which portports to mediate and assist consumers in my view is solely there to support their members. No matter how ********* and dishonest their members are they will not support the consumer (nor seem to sanction the member) and all that the member (Offending mechanic or garage) has to do is lie or find an excuse and the RMI will refuse to mediate or even meet with the offending mechanic and customer. As a consumer it is totally useless to rely on the RMI sticker on the door there will be no protection whatsoever for the consumer so do not use that as a benchmark when choosing a automotive service supplier. There are other services that the RMI offer to the automotive industry so do not be confused by the advertising that they support the service provider not consumer.
