RMI is only there to protect its members, not consumers.

The RMI is only there to protects its members so they can get away with literally everything. I filed a complaint about a mechanic who ****med me of R24 040 and claimed to have done an engine overhaul on my car and the engine literally caved in 2 weeks later and the RMI did not even try hold them accountable.

I requested receipts for parts purchased and the supplier could only share 1 receipt for R450 and the RMI let them get away with it. There is zero accountability for RMI members we are still being ****med under their watch. All they do is refer you to MIOSA.

Do yourselves a favour and stay away from RMI registered suppliers, You will pay an arm and a leg for nothing and the mechanic will walk away scot free because the organisation is there to protect them, not you.
