poor service, bad business

In march 2019 My wife gave birth in RH. Before she was admitted the staff were very friendly and helpful although after the delivery there were plenty of things to be unhappy about.

firstly, the nurses are constantly complaining, especially the evening nurse at the maternity ward. They would gather together in the evening only to complain about the nurses.

secondly, despite the fact that i paid nearly 50grand, it was nearly impossible to find someone to change the bedding or help clean up as is the requirement for a maternity nurse after a C section. They could not provide us with the immunizations necessary for the baby, the next day I had to drive around town trying to find someone who is able to give the injection eventually being helped at the public clinic after a long queue.

The day my wife was discharged, although a Sunday, the pharmacy was closed and she could not get her medicine from the hospital therefore i had to spend extra money on medicine from a pharmacy of nearly 4 grand. Usually private hospitals have the available facilities for people getting discharged on a Sunday or allow you to get your medicine the next day as that is what you pay for.

There are no patients in the hospital therefore there should be no excuse for slow service or lack of hospitality but yet as a hospital just starting up, you will be surprised to find that this is exactly what you will get.

I ended up paying double what I expected for less than half of what a private hospital should offer. That is exactly what I would have expected at a government hospital

For a start up hospital this is surely not a good start and I am very unimpressed.
