Rewardsco Deception

Rewardsco Deception I received a call from an agent saying they were from Vodacom and offered me an upgrade. They had all my contract details etc.

We discussed the new contract / upgrade, and I repeated to the agent what was said to me by him (changing my option of my contract to a lower premium, but I have 3 months still to decide if I want to upgrade my contract).

I then received my statement and there is extra charges added that I did not agree on. When I contacted vodacom they said they never called me as it was one of their external sales companies called rewards co.

Now they say I am liable to pay for contract ends in 2023. This was never discussed with me by the agent at all and vodacom claims they are not responsible because it was not from them.

My question is then why give all my details to these 3rd party sources to do business on your behalf in the first place?

Paying for a contract that I was mislead into taking and deceived by this rewardsco agent posing as Vodacom. (Though outsourced from vodacom)

This experience has me doubting the ability of Vodacom to handle such matters.

What's the resolution here?

Tanya
