**** Disguised as Customer Service

This company operates with deception at its core. My wife requested the cancellation of a number, yet instead she was manipulated into an unwanted upgrade/contract. That is not a mistake, it is a deliberate ****.

Their so‑called “service” is nothing more than entrapment, shifting responsibility onto the customer when they are exposed. This is predatory behaviour dressed up as business practice.

I will be escalating this to regulators, consumer watchdogs, and every public platform available. Others deserve to be warned: if you value honesty, transparency, and integrity, stay far away from this company.

Shaun, a request to cancel a number should never result in an upgrade or new contract that the customer did not knowingly request. We understand why this has raised serious concerns about how the conversation and consent process were handled. Please ask your wife to email her contact details and any contract or case references to *** with “Cancellation converted to upgrade” in the subject line. We need to retrieve the call recording, establish what instructions were given, verify what she consented to and arrange the appropriate corrective action.

Your recognition of the impropriety is duly acknowledged. A request for cancellation should never transmogrify into the imposition of an unsolicited contractual upgrade. Such a distortion of intent is procedurally indefensible and commercially unconscionable. That said, the consignment was ultimately repudiated at the point of delivery, and no physical acceptance of goods occurred. Accordingly, the matter is now considered conclusively closed.Nonetheless, the episode has illuminated systemic deficiencies in your consent‑capture processes. The reputational erosion occasioned by such practices is self‑inflicted, and I trust corrective measures will be instituted to forestall recurrence.
