Credit query against my name without my consent

Firstly can I say I have never heard of this company so it was my surprise when they appeared on my credit report. Apparently they ran a search against my name and without my consent. I have no idea where and how they got my details. And the interesting thing is my bank (FNB) sent me a notification about a new debit order that's to be lodged on my account from the 25th of February. It's for a cellphone contract with one of the service providers they represent. Again, I did not take up any new contract and I have no idea who this company is.
