They damaged my watch

Hello Peter,

I bought my Apple Watch in February, and by March it already started giving me problems and was not charging properly. I sent it in for repair, and my claim was initially approved.

Now all of a sudden I am being told something different, and I have received pictures showing the watch cracked and chipped. I never sent my Apple Watch in that condition. The watch was not damaged when I handed it over.

I am very disappointed because the issue was originally related to charging, not physical damage. Please investigate this matter properly and explain how the damage occurred after the watch was handed in.

Hello  Seithathi,

We are sorry to hear about your concerns regarding the condition of the device upon inspection.

However, we would like to clarify that the damage identified during the inspection did not occur while the device was in our possession. If the device was not damaged prior to shipping, then it may have sustained damage during transit.

As outlined in our policy, customers are responsible for packaging devices securely before handing them over to the courier to ensure they are protected throughout the shipping process. Proper packaging is essential to prevent transit-related damage.

We understand that your original concern was related to charging issues, and we appreciate your frustration. However, physical damage identified during inspection must also be taken into consideration when assessing warranty eligibility and claim outcomes.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you need any further assistance—we’re here to support you.

Best regards,

I dispute the claim that my Apple Watch was damaged before shipping or due to poor packaging. The watch was sent in good condition and was packaged securely when handed over for repair.

My original issue was only that the watch was not charging. My warranty claim was initially approved, and only afterwards I was informed about alleged physical damage that was never present when I sent the device.

I am very disappointed because I trusted your repair process, and now I am being blamed for damage I did not cause. I have also noticed that other customers have raised similar complaints regarding devices allegedly being damaged during inspection or transit.

I would like my Apple Watch returned to me in the same condition it was sent, or for this matter to be properly investigated and resolved fairly.

Please provide clear evidence showing the condition of the device immediately upon arrival at your facility, including timestamps and inspection records.
