Sold Faulty iPhone 14 pro max as “Excellent Condition” – Which was a not true Serious Safety Risk

<div>I am extremely disappointed with the service and product received from Revibe.

I purchased an iPhone 14 Pro Max from them approximately one month ago.It was delivered by 7 April, not even a full month. The device was advertised and sold to me as being in “excellent condition” with 100% battery health. This has proven to be completely misleading.

Within a short period, the phone developed serious faults. The battery has swollen to the point where the device is physically opening on the side, which is a serious safety hazard. In addition, the phone has multiple internal issues, including cellular hardware failure and the eSIM module not being detected.

I had the device assessed at iStore, where I was advised that the phone has multiple internal faults and that replacing the battery would not resolve the problem. I was also advised to stop using the device immediately due to safety concerns.

This is not acceptable for a device that was sold as being in excellent condition. I am now left with an unsafe and unusable phone after only one month.

I have formally requested a refund in line with the Consumer Protection Act, as I am within the 6 months for defective goods.

I will be escalating this matter further if it is not resolved urgently.</div>

Hello Tshepo,

We’re sorry to hear about your experience and understand your concern.

However, we would like to clarify that once the issue arose, a warranty claim should have been raised directly through our website. All our devices come with a 1-year warranty specifically to handle cases like this.

From our records, this is the first time the issue has been brought to our attention, and instead of using the warranty process, the device was taken to a third-party service provider. Opening or inspecting the device outside our authorized channels may affect the warranty coverage.

We’re also concerned that the matter was escalated externally before giving us the opportunity to assess and resolve it through our official channels.

We are still here to help. Please raise a warranty claim with the required details so we can properly investigate and assist you.

Best regards,
Revibe | Customer Experience Team
