Refusing refund for iPad that can't run basic apps
I bought an iPad Mini 2 from Revibe. Order ZA-65630. I was not told before buying that this 2013 model cannot download WhatsApp, Facebook, YouTube, or TikTok because Apple no longer supports it. The tablet is useless in 2026 because it can't run basic apps. I asked Revibe for a FULL REFUND but they refused and said it is "not a hardware fault". Under the Consumer Protection Act, goods must be fit for purpose. I want a full refund.

Your team member Nabil rep**** by email on 20 August 2026 and said you are "regrettably unable to approve a return, replacement, or refund" because "Apple's software" is the issue.
I have attached proof of this email.
I was not told the iPad is from 2013 and cannot run current apps when I bought it. Under the Consumer Protection Act, this product is not fit for purpose.
Please can you arrange a full refund or replacement with a device that actually works.

However, the device you purchased is an older model from 2013, and the inability to support applications that require newer versions of iPadOS is a result of Apple’s software and application compatibility requirements. This does not indicate that the device is faulty or defective.
We cannot provide a full refund on the basis that the device does not support modern applications. The device is functioning according to its capabilities and specifications for this model.
If you were dissatisfied with the device or its capabilities after receiving it, this should have been raised as a change-of-mind return within our applicable 10-day return period. Instead, the issue was presented as a fault, despite there being no hardware fault with the device.
We therefore cannot approve a refund or replacement outside the applicable return and warranty terms. We kindly ask you to respect the policies and terms that were agreed to when the purchase was made.
