Hello Mihlali,

We understand your frustration regarding the issue you experienced with the device.

However, we would like to clarify that the device has undergone **two separate inspections**, and on both occasions it was found to be working properly. We also sent you proof by email showing the device powering on and functioning as expected.

Based on the inspections, it appears that the device may not have been sufficiently charged when you attempted to switch it on, which would explain why it did not power on at the time.

We kindly ask you to refrain from making baseless accusations and to wait until you receive the device back and have the opportunity to test it yourself again. Our assessment was based on the results of two inspections and the evidence provided to you.

Best regards,

Your response does not make sense. You are saying that the phone may not have been “sufficiently charged.” Please explain to me exactly what you consider sufficiently charged. I charged that phone for the WHOLE DAY and left it charging THE WHOLE NIGHT. When it still would not switch on, I went as far as BUYING A NEW CHARGER because I thought maybe my charger was the problem. The phone STILL did not switch on. The following day, I took the phone to work, borrowed my colleague’s charger and left it charging for the WHOLE DAY again. It STILL did not switch on. So please explain to me: if the issue was that I had not “sufficiently charged” the phone, how much longer exactly was I supposed to charge it? Two days? Three days? A week? A working phone should not need to be charged for an entire day and night, followed by another full day on a completely different charger, before it can switch on. I also sent you evidence showing exactly what was happening. I showed the phone connected to the charger and not charging or switching on, as well as the phone disconnected from the charger and still not switching on. So no, I will not accept being told to “refrain from making baseless accusations.” What exactly is baseless about reporting what happened to a phone that I paid for and providing evidence of it? You inspected the phone twice and say it switched on for you. Fine. That does not erase what happened when the phone was in my possession. I did not return a working phone for entertainment. I returned it because IT WAS NOT SWITCHING ON despite repeatedly charging it with different chargers. Instead of dismissing my complaint as a “baseless accusation,” answer the actual question: Why did the phone not switch on after being charged for an entire day and night and then again for another full day using a different charger if, according to you, the only problem was that it was “not sufficiently charged”? I would like an actual explanation for that. Mihlali Ngontsi
