Disappointed with Revibe’s Warranty Process

’m extremely disappointed with my experience with Revibe.

I purchased a device from them, which was delivered on 17 March 2025. Around July, the phone began randomly restarting on its own, making it almost unusable. I reported the issue, and Revibe arranged to collect the phone on 11 August under warranty.

After keeping it for inspection, they returned it on 29 August. Shockingly, just 3 days later, the same restarting issue began again — showing that the root problem was never fixed.

I reached out again expecting proper support, but instead, Revibe rejected my warranty claim, citing cosmetic damage (scratches, a slight bend, and a detached screen). These are external issues that have nothing to do with the core problem — the device randomly restarting, which was reported before any noticeable wear and persisted after their first repair.

Now, they’re asking me to pay R2,895 (R1,250 for repairs + R1,645 for shipping), or R1,645 just to get the faulty device back. This feels like a complete avoidance of responsibility.

I followed the correct warranty process in good faith, but I’ve been left with no proper support and no functioning device. Revibe’s customer service has been dismissive and unhelpful, and I genuinely feel let down. Based on this experience, I would not recommend Revibe.

 Dear Silindile,

Thank you for your follow-up and for sharing your concerns.

We understand your frustration and sincerely empathize with the situation. As previously mentioned, our inspections of the device identified external damages, including scratches, a dent, a slight bend, and a detached screen. Unfortunately, these damages are classified as misuse under our warranty policy, and this is why the claim cannot be processed under warranty.

We acknowledge your point regarding the device restarting itself. While we understand this issue is frustrating, our technicians’ assessment considers both internal functionality and the physical condition of the device. External damages, such as those observed, can impact device stability and operation, which is why they are taken into account during the inspection.

We truly regret any inconvenience caused and remain committed to assisting you in resolving this matter. Kindly let us know how you would like to proceed so we can guide you through the next steps.

Best regards,
Revibe | Customer Experience Team
