Bought Phone on 3 February – Still No Resolution After Multiple Delays and Faulty Device
I am writing this review after an extremely stressful and exhausting experience with Revibe that has left me without a working phone for an extended period of time.
I purchased a pre-owned iPhone 12 from Revibe on 3 February, expecting a smooth and reliable process. Unfortunately, from the very beginning, there were delays with delivery because Revibe initially provided DHL with an incorrect invoice. This resulted in a penalty fee being app**** to my shipment, which caused my parcel to be held and delayed before it was eventually released. This was the first major delay in what has become a very long and frustrating journey.
After waiting through the shipping issues, my parcel was finally delivered to me on 26 February. I was relieved and excited to finally receive the phone. I immediately began setting it up, and at first, the device appeared to be working normally. I started transferring data from another iPhone as part of the setup process. During the transfer, the phone restarted as expected — but while loading, it suddenly shut down and has never switched on again since that moment.
I tried charging the device and performing force restarts, but the phone remained completely unresponsive. The device had not been dropped, exposed to water, or damaged in any way. It stopped working during normal setup, which was extremely upsetting after already waiting so long to receive it.
I then raised a warranty claim, but my first claim was cancelled without explanation after three days. This was very frustrating and confusing. I submitted a second claim on 2 March, but there were further delays before I was finally issued with a waybill for collection.
The device was eventually collected on 6 March, went into transit on 9 March, and reached the warehouse where it entered quality check on 17 March.
I was initially given an estimated resolution date of 2 April, and I held onto that date hoping the matter would finally be resolved. However, after waiting patiently, I was recently informed that the resolution date has now been moved again to 9 April, with no clear explanation.
This repeated shifting of timelines has been extremely frustrating and emotionally draining. I purchased this phone on 3 February, and I have now been without a functioning device for a significant amount of time. Not having a phone has severely affected my daily life — communication, receiving important calls, and managing responsibilities has become extremely difficult.
What makes this even more disappointing is that the very first delay began due to an incorrect invoice provided by Revibe, and since then, each step of the process has involved further waiting and poor communication.
At this stage, I feel let down by the service and communication. I am requesting urgent assistance from Revibe to prioritise my case and resolve this matter as soon as possible. I trusted Revibe when making this purchase, but this experience has been extremely disappointing and stressful.
I sincerely hope this matter can be resolved quickly.
We completely understand your frustration regarding the update to your estimated resolution date. We know it feels unfair to have the timeline shifted after previously confirming an earlier date, especially after the delays you have already experienced during the delivery and quality check stages.
While we wish we could stick to the original date, please keep in mind that these dates are provided as estimates. The current delay is unfortunately beyond our direct control due to the regional circumstances affecting our logistics at this time in the Gulf area.
We are doing our best to navigate these challenges and ensure that every case, including yours, is handled as thoroughly as possible despite these external factors.
Once the result of the QC is revealed we will be in touch with you about the next steps, and we will discuss a form of compensation for those delays.
Best regards,
Customer Experience Team| Revibe
