The Ilusive Deposit

Respublica: A deposit that was supposed to have been refunded within 14 days (from November 30th) has still not been paid despite several emails, calls and promises (broken) of course. The ones who are tasked with responding to calls regurgitate what they have been told to say. "All refunds will be paid within 48 hours." "The refund is due within 14 'working' days." (There is no 'working' in the email that issued instructions on how to complete the move-out process. )48 hours went by. No money. Next story: "we never received your banking details." Forwarded the email containing the information that was supposedly never received. Was reassured that deposit would be refunded before the end of the week. Week ended. No refund. Emails to ask what was happening. Silence. Another call. Another promise. The apologies mean nothing anymore. Respublica is quick to apply penalties, and being told how busy they are because of volumes of clients they are dealing with is annoying.
