I delivered my Samsung microwave to their workshop on 5 June because it was no longer heating food. Upon dropping it off, I was assured that the unit would be diagnosed and a quotation provided either the same day or by Saturday. Unfortunately, this did not happen, and I had to repeatedly follow up before finally receiving the quotation on 10 June. I paid the invoice immediately upon receipt and sent proof of payment on the same day. I was then informed that they would confirm whether the required part was in stock, and if not, they would order it. After yet another follow-up from my side, I was advised that the part was not available and that a replacement had been ordered. I was subsequently told that I could collect the microwave on Monday, 15 June. However, when I called on that day to confirm collection, I was informed that no one was in the office and that I should instead collect it on Wednesday, 17 June. When I followed up again on Wednesday, I was told that the microwave had not yet been tested and that I would need to wait for further feedback. On Thursday, 18 June, I was informed that the original fault had not been resolved and that the microwave required further diagnosis and repairs. At this point, I escalated the matter to Samsung for assistance. To summarise the remainder of the ordeal, it took approximately another week before the heating issue was eventually repaired. However, the internal light was still not functioning. Repair on Call then claimed that the light issue was not included in the quotation and that it was merely a cosmetic issue rather than a functional repair item. What is particularly frustrating is that I was never informed that the light would not be repaired, nor was I given an opportunity to approve or decline an additional charge for replacing the globe. To make matters worse, I was told that I had specifically requested that the globe not be replaced. This statement is simply untrue. It makes no sense that I would authorise and pay for all other repairs while knowingly refusing to replace a relatively inexpensive globe—especially when I was never made aware that this was the cause of the issue. The entire experience was characterised by poor communication, missed commitments, repeated delays, inaccurate information, and a lack of accountability. As a result of the prolonged repair process, which lasted nearly a month, I was left with no practical option but to purchase a new microwave. I have never experienced such poor customer service from a repair provider and am extremely disappointed that a Samsung-recommended service centre would operate in this manner.

Repair on call should never be used. Their client service is very bad. They accept no responsibility for the poor work their workers do. When you complain about the poor workmanship you are ignored. Neither the owner Juan nor the manager Simone make an effort to call me and sort out the problem. You have to ask them every now and then what is going to be done, then they say they are working on a solution but nothing happens and no one calls back. When I ask to speak to Juan or Simone they say neither of them are available. Do not use ROC. Their workmanship is poor and they ignore you if there are problems with the work they have done. I would never recommend them.

I have made a claim on my Nedbank Insurance Policy for a ****** gate motor. I submitted the claim in late September and they organised their service provider Repair On Call to send out an agent to do an assesment. He came at the beginning of October and took many photos on the damage as well as the remote system that opens and closes the gate. The elctrical cable that runs from the house to the gate was damaged when the ******* removed the motor. The claim was approved on the 10th October and this was communicated to me via a WhatsApp message. I didn't hear anything from repair on call. I contacted Repair On Call to find out when they were coming to replace the motor and they told me that they had not received the 'go ahead' from Nedbank Insurance. I contacted Nedbank Insure more than 10 days after I received the notice that the claim had been approved and I was told that there was probably a glitch in the system and that is why Repair On Call never contacted me. After Repair On Call received the confirmation the told me that I had to pay the excess directly to them before the items would be ordered. I paid this around the 3rd week in October Repair on Call then made an appointment to install the new gate motor at the end of October. The agent arrived at the appointed time with the new gate motor. When the agent arrived, he just had the gate motor, no electrical cable and no anti theft bracket. He contacted Repair On Call to ask about buying cable and they said that the electrical cable was not included. I also had to replace a wheel on the sliding gate as it had rusted quite badly and it was difficult to pul the gate open and closed. I told the agent to stop the installation and find out about the anti theft bracket. The agent then left. I replaced both wheels on the gate and installed a new electrical cable from the house to the gate. After not hearing anything from Nedbank Insure for about 10 days, I decided to contact them to find out what was going on. I spoke to Nhlanhla at the call centre and he said that I need to speak to the claims advisor handling my case and he tried to put me through but the claims advisor was not available to take my call. He said that he would send the claims advisor an email and the claims advisor would phone me back in about 10 minutes. I'm still waiting for the call. On the following Monday, I contaced the insurance call centre to speak to the claim advisor but the call centre said that the claims advisor was unavailable and so a messgae was sent saying that I would receive a call from the claims advisor in 10 minutes. I am still waiting for that call as well. Same thing happened on the Tuesday. Still waiting for the call as well. On the Wednesday, I phoned again and managed to speak to the claims advisor who told me that they were waiting for a quote on the anti theft bracket and that she would follow up and get back to me. I am still waiting for that call as well. Now this week, yesterday, I phoned again and was told that the claims advisor was unavailable and a messgae would be sent and the advisor would call me back after 10 minutes. Guess what??? I am still waiting for that phone call as well. I have mentioned that it is a security risk not having a gate motor as I have to get out my car and manually open the gate, drive in and come and manually close the gate. That doesn't seem to be anything concerning for Nedbank Insure. Once the job is completed, Nedbank Insure and Repair On Caall are going to aks for a review of their services, I hope they don't expect aglowing review. THIS WAY BEYOND PATHETIC CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!
