World currency card-worst mistake ever!!!

I went to exchange some currency for my trip oversees recently and was told, no more like sold by the teller that the world currency card is better than taking cash on my trip etc.

After being persuaded that this is the better option, I then went with this. The teller specifically said to draw all my money from the card as this would prevent me from being charged withdrawal charges every time. When I landed this is exactly what I did and I was unable to do this. A forex assistant in this country tried to assist me and we kept trying to withdraw the money and checked the balance several times. I eventually was able to draw half of what was on the card.

I then assumed that there must've been a limit to drawing my cash and tried the next day. Once again, I could not draw the balance and was only able to draw half. By the third day I tried again and my balance was 0.00!!!

I emailed the Bidvest banker who sold me the card and explained to her what had happened. A statement was then sent to me showing that I had been charged approximately R1 500.00 in bank charges!!!!!! This is so ridiculous. I've tried going into the branches and tried calling the call centre and all they do is explain where the money went to!

My issue is that I was uninformed about this card!! I was given almost no information, no brochure or reading material on this card.

I was informed only after being ****** that there is a limit on certain machines oversees and that every time I checked my balance I would be charged!! The teller put the counties currency on my card and specifically told me because of this I wouldn't have to pay for currency conversion yet on my statement I was charged a helluva lot of money for currency conversion??

If the teller had just listened to me and dealt with my initial need I wouldn't of been in this situation. I was in a foreign country, short of money and this was a huge financial knock in my trip. And her reply was 'sorry for the inconvenience', really, really???

Please stop lying to people and robbing us. We work hard for our money and it's just unfair that you guys can bamboozle and cheat working people like this! And no I don't want further clarification, I want this fixed please.
