Stuck 15 years behind the times : World Currency Card

So my company uses Bidvest for World Currency cards. I arrive in the USA for the n-th time with the "new" MasterCard Corporate Bidvest bank world currency card. Since I am alone, I normally order most of my goods online i.e. Amazon, ebay etc etc etc. So I make two online purchases and then their heuristic rule system starts blocking Amazon. I pick up the card, phone the number on the back (UK). Then I get through to a UK number to be told my card is a corporate card. I get put on hold for around 10 minutes to be passed to the next online assistant. I explain the problem, to be told that Amazon is "Black Listed". Assistant puts me on hold for around 10 minutes and says they have now whitelisted the supplier. So I complete the online purchase with Amazon. The next day the same thing happens. This time I lose around two hours of my life to be told : - Mastercard manage the travel card - the travel card is meant for cash or point of sale purchases only - Amazon cannot be whitelisted or unblocked for longer than around 30 minutes To quote the final message "Kindly be advised that the World Currency Card Master Card is the safe and cost effective way of accessing different currency purses while you travel it was not designed to make any online purchases"

This is the 21st century. With 256bit SSL, Bidvest are admitting that they cannot support online transactions which is pretty much the standard choice of buying in a global economy. What is worse is the card I have is "corporate" so this should say it all. What if I need to book flights, cars, food delivery - must I drive to an electronic business to pay cash ?

I know that the problem can be solved, but Bidvest RSA help is pointless. The numbers to be phoned useless, and the service is shocking. This is not what I experienced when Bidvest had the VISA travel cards. Please do yourselves a favour and contact Investec - they set the best standard in service and cyber purchase protection algorithms.

Shocking and irritating. Would not recommend Bidvest until they change this.

Found this extract from the brochure they have : https://www.bidvestbank.co.za/downloadfile.aspx?ID=69 "You can also make purchases online from any merchant not located in the CMA or a sanctioned country" CMA - basically RSA region. So the client support in Johannesburg is not even aware of this. Now I am on the phone again for hours.
