Passport not an acceptable form of identification

<p>I went into Bidvest bank Vanderbijlpark to purchase dollars. As a citizen of SA, I produced my flight details, valid passport and proof of address as required. I was then informed that I still needed to produce a valid green barcoded SA ID document. As per the teller, a passport was not an acceptable means of identification for me to buy dollars. I walked out, went into FNB and was helped without an issue.</p> <p>My passport works everywhere in SA, it works everywhere I've been to outside of SA. It just does NOT work at Bidvest Bank! Pathetic to say the least. I will not ever deal with them again...</p>
