How long does it take to open a bank account?????

How long does it take to open a bank account? Apparently with Bidvest, it takes over a month. I app**** online for a Bidvest Grow Account on 19 September 2022, and submitted all the relevant documents. On 20 September, I received a mail from their webonlineapplications email address, requesting a copy of my ID. I sent them the copy, and on 11 October I followed up on the account status. I received a reply stating I would get a call within 72 hours. This did not happen. I called twice to follow up and was promised a call back, but still nothing. It is not a month and 5 days later, and I still don't have a bank account. Sadly this has become the pathetic service standards that South Africans have become accustomed to. I had hoped Bidvest Would be the exception, but I was proven wrong. Hopefully I will have a bank account before 2023....
