Don't join! Thousands of Rands gone missing - trying to get it back

Guys PLEASE do NOT join this bank. My girlfriend has been issues with random EFT payments going missing (as in, the money leaves her account but never arrives at the payee). All account details are correct, PoP is correct... The money is just gone.

The bank has been useless is investigating the problem... Eventually they came back saying that she should close and re-open the account because of suspected *****.

This is ***** WITHIN their damn bank and they want her to just write the money off.

We've taken the issue to the ombudsman, but apparently people don't have much luck their either...

It just frustrates me when organisations are able to lose your money and face no consequences

Oh, I'm still learning to use hellopeter and realised I've been posting updates as Facebook comments rather than on the actual thread.

It's now 11 May and we haven't heard a word from either Bidvest or the ombudsman.

I'm pretty sure we're now reaching the one year mark for this issue...
What does one do? Post another negative review to see whether someone will respond? Go to the bank and insist on seeing someone?
Sigh...
