DISGRUNTLED, FRUSTRATED & ANGRY ABOUT BIDVEST BANK SERVICES!!
I have recently had the most frustrating experience with Bidvest Bank! I have a transaction that was processed on the 17th of August 2018 which was due to reflect in my account by the 21/08/2018 Tuesday or Wednesday latest but nothing happened. I gave them an extra day before inquiring because I thought that there mite have been a delay somewhere but eventually the whole week went past and there was no money in my account. In the course of the week i went to a my main Bidvest branch in Shelly beach to inquire about the money but they couldn't see any funds allocated to my account so they asked me for proof of payment and I provided it by Friday the 24th of August and I called their call center where I also couldn't get any help then I decided to call their head office in JHB to find that they haven't been able to trace the funds and its not even i their suspense accounts so they asked me to give them some time and a lady by the name of Tebogo Tau from their Head office told me that the funds go into an intermediary account at FNB before being allocated into my acount and another lady by the name of Khethiwe told me that those types of transactions take up to 7 working days to reflect into the beneficiary account. On Tuesday 28th of August Tebogo from Head office called me to ask me if we have been able to trace the transaction through FNB because from their side they cannot trace it with the ref. no. on my proof of payment and that they apparently do not use those types of reference numbers at their bank so i explained to Tebogo that I have spoken to many other employees at Bidvest and even their seasoned consultants Olivia told me that they do not use an intermediary bank in South Africa and that even if the money was coming from an international bank like HSBC they do not use an intermediary bank to transfer funds but Tebogo was addament that they do use FNB for the transactions so I asked her what to do because I inquired with FNB and they don't know of anything of that sort and she told me that she doesn't know because they can only help me if i trace it through the bank of origin and FNB which both knew nothing of what I was talking about then she sent me an e-mail stating that my call query had been closed. Later on in the day my Bidvest Bank main branch in Shelly Beach called me to let me know that they still haven't been able to track the transaction and they are waiting for Olivia to give them more details because they have access to systems that they can't access from their side. On Wednesday the 29th of August i went back to the bank and they still couldn't trace it and it hasn't returned back to the account of origin but a lady at my main branch in Shelly Beach mentioned something very suspicious to me that happen with one of their reps form Head office in JHB when they were following up on my inquiry so the lady said if what she thinks happened really did happen she will give me a number to report that rep. I have been frustrated about this matter for the past two weeks now and my life is distorted, I am suffering because I don't want any more of my money to go through them until they pay this money into my account. I have retreived 6 months of my bank statements to prove that this type of transaction never takes more than 3 working days to reflect into my account and have taken references of all the calls i logged with them, their company reg. no. their NCR reg. no. their FSP reg no. and I tried calling their CEO Jappi van Niekerk to ask them to please task someone to look into this matter because I am sensing alot of ******* activity within their bank this whole time while following up on this transaction but unfortunately he wasn't available along with his secretary. I will try contacting them again today but if I fail to get a satisfactory response I am reporting this matter to the FSB and NCR so they can investigate it and I'm reporting it to an attorney that works with the Ombudsman to do more investigating and i will send them all my proof of my transaction that seems to have disappeared. I do not understand what takes so long to follow up on this query because they are working on very up to date software systems and not on outdated filing systems, I will take this matter to court if need be.
