BIDVEST BANK (OLD MUTUAL MONEY MARKERT ACCOUNT) DOES NOT WANT TO PAY MY MONEY BACK
I am Nomnandi Aretha Ndiyane, on the 20th of August 2021 i bought myself a good secondhand car cash at Wingfield at Cape Town. The dealer need me to do the internet transfer to pay the car as i was buying it cash, i struggled to increase the limit on the app and I had to contact the money account department to assist me to increase the my daily limit so that i am able to pay off the car i was buying.
A lady by the name Ncumisa assisted me to increase the limit until the transaction was completed. after i left the dealer i went to old mutual to cancel the debit order i had with them whilst i was saving. After i left whilst i was near to my car i received a call from the ***** department with the *** number that i was fami**** with because when you with draw money about R5000 and more they contact you to confirm if indeed you have made some withdrawal.
The guy by the name Thabo call wanted to confirm if indeed i have done some transaction on my account and i confirmed, and he said due to the huge amount of money that i have transferred he needs to verify if it me who did the transaction by puncting in my cell number on my phone and he said he is transferring me to his supervisor for verification and i must respond with 1 and there after punch in my pin on the phoneso that my account can not be suspended of which that was not strange to me because even when i was increasing the limit that's what was done to verify and he said i will receive a reference for the call. Few minutes later i received an sms that my number has been changed to *** and if i suspect a ***** i must dial ***2 of which i did and with no answer after that money was flying from my savings account to my swipe account and they were transferred to name that i did not even know and i could not even access my app. I i contacted the 011 number that called me with no answer i google the ***** number and i reported the matter and i was given reference number and it was indicated to me that Bid vest or Oldmutual money account does not have call center they work from 8 till 17h00. An amount of R47 800 was gone from my account, the ref number that was given by the guy that i reported the matter from was ***.
The next day i went to N1 City oldmutual office where i reported the case and they advise that i must go an do the affidavit and bring it to them, i did that and the case was submitted for investigation they said it will take plus minus 15 days and i received disappointing out comes that they are not liable for the transaction in question as the correct pin was used by the *********, and if i want to dispute i must contact ombudsman.
I am very disappointed and heart broken as i suspect the ***** was done by their internal staff member and i was not informed as to who are those people that money was transferred to trace their banking details at least and they are saying i should have reported the matter immediate of which i did and it was indicated to me that there is no call center working around the clock.
My salary for the month of August was deposited into that suspended account which i had to contact the bank to return back the money to my employer as i was afraid to be *****ed again that did not happen i was taken from post to piller with no solution. i was only assisted on the 27th of September 2021 after i stayed in their office for almost 5 hours N1 city manager and Denzil tried their best to assist me until the money was released into my bank account and they were claiming that they have been contacting me on the changed number and when they were contacting me it will ring once on me and stop.
I herby request assistance to get my money back from Bidvest i can not afford to loose such a huge amount i am depressed as i write this email.
Please assist
