BIDVEST BANK - APPALLING CUSTOMER SERVICE

However, after seven days, the money had still not appeared in my account. I had important credit card deadlines, which is why I initiated the transfer well in advance. Concerned, I reached out to the representative who assisted me, only to receive no response. I followed up repeatedly, emailing the complaints department with no response either, then I called Bidvest Bank Customer Care line directly, which was of no help. It has now been three weeks, and the money is still not in my Bank of America account - and NO ONE AT BIDVEST HAS BEEN ABLE TO HELP SOLVE THIS ISSUE.

The customer service has been appalling to say the least. Despite my numerous complaints to the Bidvest complaints department, I have yet to receive a response. Imagine not even being answered by the complaints department, what a joke!

I even reached out to the ombudsman to escalate this and lay a formal complaint against Bidvest Bank. I cannot express how frustrated and angry I am with Bidvest Bank. The lack of customer care and concern is unacceptable, raising concerns about the bank's potential failure. However, this issue is of little personal concern to me ;)

I am at my wits end and don't know who else to turn to. When I visited the bank last week, as my emails were being ignored, I had hoped to get my point across by speaking to someone directly. However, I learned that the manager had left/been fired (who knows) two days earlier, and no acting manager was appointed. How can a business that has been operating for many years function without a manager?

I paid a R900 fee to transfer my money to America, and I demand that Bidvest Bank refund this fee. Once the funds are returned to my account or reflected in my American account, I will immediately close my bank account with Bidvest, as will my family members.

To anyone who has an account with them, close it. To anyone who is thinking about opening an account with Bidvest, dont.

I could go on and on but it's just making me more frustrated.
