Renew-IT Sandton terrible service

During April 2017, I had my car fixed at Renew-IT Sandton, after an accident after an accident where the side of my car was hit by a truck.

After receiving my car from this panel beater, I notified them that the back cover of my boot was missing, and my CD's had been removed from the inside of my CD exchange. I then received a call where I was told that they were monitoring this. My CD's were then delivered to me, but I did not receive any feedback regarding my boot cover.

I have called Renew-IT Sandton a number of times over the past few months, and everytime I speak to my service provider- Reatha- she would tell me that she would get back to me with more information. Two weeks ago, I then resorted to speaking to the manager, who then told me that he would get onto the case immediately, and get back to me within an hour. And to this day he still has not gotten back to me.

Yesterday, I had my car towed, as I have problems with my wheels, which I had insured with Tiger wheel and Tyre. Upon inspection, Tiger Wheel discovered that the 2 front wheels had been changed, and therefore do not fall under their insurance. I am shocked by this, as my wheels did not need changing by Renew-IT and they never notified me that this was being done. Had they done so, I would have let them know that my Tire's are all insured and therefore if any changes were being made I would need to update my insurance.

I have called Renew-IT again, and have notified them on this and also asked about my back cover, and each time I am told that my service provider or manager will get back to me. This has not been done. Now my car is sitting at Tiger wheel and Tyre as they await a response from Renew-IT. I really do not know what I need to do in order for them to offer me a basic level of customer service. It's sad that in order to get things done, we have to resort to such platforms, but I have waited for months now, and really just need my car to be sorted out.

Good morning,

Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. Following your conversation with Charles yesterday, we immediately uplifted your vehicle from Tiger Wheel and Tyre so that we could ascertain exactly what the issues were on your vehicle.

Allow me to apologise for the time it has taken to resolve your query.

Having inspected the vehicle as well as the photographs taken when the vehicle was towed in, it is clear that the two front tyres are the same tyres that are currently on the vehicle - in fact, the front left tyre had a bubble on the outer wall when it was towed in to our facility. As for the rims, these were repaired as per the insurers instruction.

Also, in terms of the rear parcel shelf (boot cover) it is evident in our photographs that the cover was in your car at the time of it being towed in to our facility. I am in the process of locating the item as it would have been put into safe keeping whilst the vehicle was being repaired.

I will be in touch with you to confirm the next steps regarding your vehicle.

Best regards,

Peter
