GROSSLY over inflating repair quote to ripoff our insurance compant

My girlfriends Fiat 500 was caught in a recent hailstorm and suffered very light hail damage to the roof and drip rails ONLY! One really has to look closely to even see the dents. We submitted a claim and went to Renew-it Sandton (the approved panelbeater) for a quote.

The quote to repair the car was R47 000 and included stripping the interior out, both bumpers off, head and tail lights off and repairing the bonnet, bootlid and doors which ARE NOT damaged. The majority of the quote is for labour and not parts which obviously benefits their profit margin. The quote also lists the repair as a 'major structural repair' for dents that could been repaired by a paintless dent removal process.

I tried to contact them to 'discuss' the reason for quoting for unnecessary work . They NEVER return calls or emails and the responsible person is NEVER available when I call them.
