If you'll trust a government yard with your vehicle...
Don't be fooled by the professional looking exterior at Renew It Bedfordview. Their in house assessor assessed my repair as 10 days to repair and respray scratched and minor dents on right hand side front and rear fenders and doors. The reasons provided for the delays (not by the service assistant who constantly said everything is on track whenever I queried, but it was only when I went there in person and asked to see the account manager on day 15, and had my broker call as well, that I got an answer): 1. They said they decided to change and not repair the side skirt panels and were waiting for these replacement skirts to be delivered, then had to prep and paint. 2. The rear right hand side door was scratched after paint so they had to redo it, 3. They had broken the side door mirror and were waiting for a replacement 4. They had broken the petrol cap actuator and were waiting for the part. On day 15 I took the car back for the long weekend, and returned it as agreed. They said it will be ready in 3 days, as its stands today is day 24, 9 days later. Reason provided, electronics issues with the rear door central locking. I've been told to collect at 3pm today, lets see what happens. Lessons if you dare trust Renew It Bedfordview with your vehicle: (1) Don't trust the initial assessment of time, or the electronic updates or the information provided by the 'service assistants'. (2) Make sure that you thoroughly check your vehicle on collection. (3) Go there in person at regular intervals to check on progress on your car. (4) Rather avoid these guys if you don't have the time for the headache. It seems like 'they're taking in too many cars for their own capacity to handle and are pushing profit targets and not customer service' as my broker put it to me on the phone...
