Very very poor customer service and can't give courtesy car due to no part available in SA
I am disgusted by the service i am getting from Renault. My car went in for a service at Renault Tygervalley on the 4th of January. The timing chain was claimed through M-Sure and replaced. Then the Friday the 6th I received a call the oil gasket cover needs to be replaced and they need to claim for that and the part will take 3 days to come from Joburgthe. 9th I received another call now with another problem the oil pump needs to be replaced and they need to claim for that I have assisted throughout the whole process to get the claims processed as quick as possible. Keeping in mind this is my only source of transportation. The claim was then approved the 10th which was a day later. But when the consultant called me i asked the question twice if they have the part because now the days are just accumulating. He advised he needs to get the claim approved first. So the claim was approved on the 10thvas stated. Then i called later the day to confirm if he received the approval because i have then received the approval on my messages too.. only then he said oh just to be advised the part will take 21 days as it's coming from France! Seriously now... I have now been without a vehicle though my entire holiday. It was not a problem at first but only to hear the car is now going to be delayed for a nother 21+ days which will leave me without a car for that amount of time and i need to go to work. The sales consultant called me yesterday afternoon confirming that the part will definitely take 21 days as there is no oil pumps in south Africa available... So what now i need a car, he followed by saying i must give him time until the end of this week or next week to see if he can assist me with a courtesy car. I followed up with a call this afternoon and he said he is not promising so no i am so ****ed with the service i am receiving from Renault. I called the head office the head office consultant told me at first she will call me as i was supposed to be assisted with a courtesy car after 7 days of the car being at the workshop, i waited and no call then i followed up after two hours to confirm. She the. Said they cant supply me with a courtesy car as the service is with M-sure and not them so M-sure need to assist in this reagrd. Really now. M- sure approved my claims, this is a Renault problem for not having the parts in south Africa. I have called and was put on hold for long waits and not even getting a call back i had to keep on buying airtime. The consultant then requested i call the branch where my car is to get a WIP number...they really asked the customer to do that they could not even call the branch to get that it just shows how much Renault's customer service is poor. I did their job and called for the number then i had to call the head office back and the number did not pick up. This is after i have confirmed the number when i received. The other consultant whom now assisted me at the head office made me hold more than 25 mins as he was calling Renault Tygervalley my phone then was cut off and all i got was you have reached us out of our office hour.. how rude and disrespectful is that. I am very very very dissapointed and disgusted with the service i have received from Renault they can't give customers a courtesy car to get from pout a to point b. I was told by a consultant at Renault Tygervalley as i was calling for the WIP number they have two cars but the cars licence is out of date and they are waiting to gey it fixed. Now where does that leave me. What do you expect i do if this is a Renault problem and they don't show no interest in assisting. Renault very very poor service.
