Vehicle Malfunction and Bad service
I purchased a new Renault kiger 2024 the 31st July 2024. Drove it out the show room with 84 km on the clock. From when I first drove the car after having a Renault kwid for 8 years with minor issues I was so pleased with my new vehicle. It suited my lifestyle and work. Fast forward to the 16th November 2024 where I randomly came to my car after being at the mall the electronics of the vehicle were just not functioning, I called roadside assistance and I requested to have my car sent to the dealership where I purchased it. The lovely lady on the phone said they usually send it to the closest dealership which was tokai Renault but she will see what she can do. Row truck arrived promptly and off my vehicle went. The lady called back from the road side assistance and said it’s fine they will take it to paarden ieland branch however Monday I got a call from Tokai. To prevent any further delays since my job requires me to be on the road I opted to just let them sort it out either way as it’s the same company.
Since then Monday the 18th November 2024 I got a call to say it’s 2 days before they can advise me the issue and until then if it’s something that is due to the sound system and tracker I installed I’d be liable to claim from my insurance if not then they will process a warranty claim and then I can get a courtesy car but would also only be granted one if parts are imported oversees.
I waited and waited only till Thursday after having to chase them for feedback was I told the issue was with Renault and the part just stopped working. The part they ordering is only going to be sent Monday after and by Wednesday today the 27th November 2024 will my car be ready.
I had to kick up a racket for them to understand that this brand new vehicle not working is costing me my business and money to spend on Ubers. There was no regard for this and I had to threaten to take the matter further before they eventually made a plan and got me a car Friday. Almost a week without my car. To date since I’ve complained it is Wednesday I have still not gotten feedback from the franchise.
I have emailed parade Ireland franchise where I bought the car I have still not received a response from my email sent to the sales agent and johann where I requested an urgent call back.
I’ve left a message with the receptionist as well and guess what also no call back.
I am refusing to take this car back although it’s perfect for me as they found issues with the electronics which caused the central locking to stop working along with the power steering to stop.
The concern for my safety with this vehicle along with the fear of not being mobile should this happen again and slow service I want a full refund for this vehicle.
I am beyond disappointed with the service. I’ve bought a Renault in 2017 by Shane Koortzen at the table view branch and over the 8 years received great service if. Needed advice.
I need someone to contact me urgently regarding this as I was getting nowhere dealing with this internally
