VEHICLE DAMAGE AND LEAK IN AFTER REPAIR AT PE RENAULT
On 30 July 2025, I took my vehicle to Renault PE service. It was scheduled for the boot lock and ignition replacement. While my vehicle return I noticed the driver's side brake light bulb was not working. Upon purchase of the brake bulb, the parts department did not know if it was a single or double point bulb. On arrival at home, my wife noticed that the brake light has a chip which indicate its broken. I visited the pe service department and informed them that I noticed my boot on the driver side have a huge gap between the boot and the body compared to the other side. The manager, has informed me that the boot of the car was smash and repainted which i dont know anything about it. Furthermore, she also said that none of Renault's vehicles' rear boot spaces is align like the other side and will not fix it. With regards to my light:. The technician has worked aggressively with my car to remove the headlight that was causing my car to shake. I have inform the manager that i have stood by the parts people and watched them and the technician did not inform there was a chip on the light before working. My argument is why you inform the parts people? And I'm standing next to them. The manager claims that she is not going to fix it. The manager can't produce pre- and post-inspection because they did not do it. Furthermore, I ask for cameras. She informs me where the car stand, there are no cameras. Renault violates, the rights of customers which is not how customers are supposed to be treated, and matters should be handled according to the rights of customers of South African Law. My vehicle did not have that damages prior i booked it in at Reanalt. People, check your vehicle when returned from the service department.
