Useless Service From Renault the Glen

There are two incidents that highlight how poor the service of this Renault branch is and they are tarnishing the Renault brand:

1, I took my card into the Glen branch for a service on the 4th of April. I arrived at 7h50 and needed to get a lift home as I was on leave and going to Ballito the next day. I had to wait until 9H30 until until one of the technicians came to my rescue and gave me a lift home. When asking the branch manager why I had to wait so long, he mentioned it was because one of the staff members did not call into work and they were having Human Resource issues with this staff member so they were a man down with their list service.

Why did no-one proactively inform me of this so I could arrange my transport and why is this my problem as a customer?

I left my details with reception to collect me in the afternoon. I needed my car as I was going on holiday the next day. By 16h00 no had phoned me to arrange collection so I phoned the branch. There was no answer and the phone just rang. I phoned again at 16H15 and the phone just rang. Luckily my wife arrived home at 16H30 so I ask her to take me the branch to fetch my car.

When I got to the branch I told them about noone contacting me. The receptionist didnt even apologise, she just said the driver was on the road and was going to phone me. I was very irriated at this time, so I asked for the dealer principals information, took my keys and left the branch in a grumpy mood.

2. I was in a house ******* recently and my renault car keys and my wifes Nissan Livina car keys were ******. To replace them, my insurance company required a quote. Regretabbly I contacted the GLen branch to obtain a quote for keys for the two cars.

I was put through to "Ruan" who gave me indicative pricing and told me he could e-mail quotes for the keys. I told him it was required in the morning as i urgently needed to submit it to insurance. He took my details and said he would send it.

By 12H00 I had recieved no e-mail so I phoned the branch and asked to speak to Ruan. I got through to him and he apoligised saying he was busy and was definitely going to send it.

By 16H00 I still hadnt received the e-mail so I phoned again. The receptionist said there were problems with the telephone lines and she would take a message for Ruan.

At 8H45 this morning there was still no e-mail so I phoned again and was given Ruans cell phone number. I asked him to email me the document and send a SMS confirmation is was sent.

The time is now 12H18 and I still have not received the quote after 4 communications.

I want to see if Renault takes customer service seriously. How will you ensure that I am sent this information as soon as possible and how are you going to ensure that this branch has some serious changes made to it? If you dont, you are going to lose me as a Renault customer in the future and I will tell my family and friends about the terrible experience.

The clock is ticking.............
