Unhappy client

My mom bought a Renault Clio at the Tokai branch on condition that the major service be done otherwise she is not buying the car. The Km on the car were 74 000 something and the sales man said okay deal. She bought the car and was happy with the service, 6 km later she has to replace the timing chain issue amongst others. And now the manager advised that on major service they only replace what needs to be replaced and that the timing chain was not an issue it's a wear and tear issue. She now has to replace the battery which she doesn't have any issue with but I am not an expect on these things but I thought it's called a major service so that the major things are sorted. But guess what I was told she bought a second hand car, lol. She is now going to obviously fix these and doesn't want to fight but as for me I just thought you should know. Ohh also I was told the sales man does whatever to make sure the car gets sold, lol. My mom and I might not be clued up about cars but something is not right. Also the lady from the branch advised that the major service was not done so honestly I don't even know who is saying what but clearly my mom was sold a car and promises were not kept.
