They dont care
I bought my car(Renault Megane 1.4GT-Line) back on the 29thApril 2017 and the license disk in the car expires on the 31st Oct 2017.
The sales person later called me and told me that he couldn't get the car registered in my name because i still owed some fines on my previous car, he said i had to first settle the fines before i could renew the license disk.
With my lack of knowledge, I drove around with the car thinking i could sort it out when the expiry date approached, only to find out when i went to pay for the traffic fines i was told that i had to take the car for roadworthy test. I called the Sales Manager by the name Hannes and he explained to me that it takes about 3 or 4 weeks for a road worthy certificate to expire and its my own negligence hence i should take the car for a roadworthy test at mu own expense(which i agree is fair).
Only to find out when i took a closer look that when the sales person that sold me the car went to register the car on the 25th May 2017 at the Randfontein Traffic Department the cars roadworthy certificate had already expired and it required to be retested and no one let me know.
So now its obvious that its either i was sold a car that hadn't gone for a roadworthy test or because the sales person took his time to register the car in my name, the roadworthy certificate expires and being made to pay for it.
Ive attached a picture of the registration document that i went to pick up at the Middleburg garage that proves that the day the sales person went to Randfontien and sent it to the Sales Manager via email and he/she hasnt bothered to get back to me and the document clearly proves that the car needed a roadworthy when they went to register it.
I even had to get my own number done, thats the service i got from Renault Middleburg.
